Under the vision and leadership of one of the most sought-after young conductors on the scene today, Michael Butterman, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra continues in a positive direction. Michael Butterman gained international attention as a diploma laureate in the Prokofiev International Conducting Competition and as a finalist in the prestigious Besançon International Conducting Competition.

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this season, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1958, is a critically acclaimed, fully professional orchestra. Each season the orchestra presents dynamic programming, featuring masterpieces, promising new works, and both accomplished and emerging guest musicians and performing artists.

Find out for yourself when Classical Mystery Tour performs live in concert with the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. You will experience the sounds of the original parts taht the Beatles and their producer George Martin used in the actual studio recordings!

No single individual has inspired more music than William Shakespeare. Actors from the Colorado Shakespeare Festival join us to deepen our experience of music by mendelssohn and Walton. We'll also present Vaughan Williams's rarely heard masterpiece, the Serenade to Music (with text from Merchant of Venice) featuring the St. Martin's Chamber Choir.
