Thompkin Cellars is dedicated to producing a limited number of premium, small-lot wines, with grapes sourced from select vineyards in Santa Barbara County. This premium package includes one (1) bottle of 2005 3ie Degre and one (1) bottle of 2004 Couchant. Thompkin's 3ie Degre is a blend of 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 25% Mourvedre. This wine possesses a dark ruby color as well as an attractive perfume of roasted Provencal herbs, and sweet strawberries, cherries and currants. Medium-bodied, soft and silky, this hedonistic red should be enjoyed over the next three to four (3-4) years. (90 points). The 2004 Couchant is a blend of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Syrah.
