This peaceful scene of a path through a forest is an example of the freshness and spontaneity of Malone's style and her intense interest in form, value and color. The beautiful impressionist print, in shades of blue, is matted and framed behind glass. It is signed, is numbered on the back, and measures 21 inches by 29 inches. The antique gold wood frame measures 29 inches by 37 inches. Electra Malone was a prominent artist and teacher in the southwest in the mid 20th century. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, and is actively sought today.
