Description

Ruffled Fichu (triangular shawl) in spring colors, great for warming your shoulders on a cool evening.  100% worsted-weight wool was hand space-dyed by Carolyn Betts and then hand-knit, alternating the wool with a green linen/silk blend in the body.  The ruffle is knitted on with the linen/silk blend.  Long edge is 60”, excluding 2-1/2” ruffle.

Special Instructions

Item will be available for pick-up at the American Boychoir School on Friday, March 28, between 3:00 and 6:00 pm.  Delivery is available in Mercer County or by arrangement.  Item may also be shipped, at standard industry rates.

Care: hand wash in Dawn, horse or cheap human shampoo or knitters’ wool wash (hand knitters generally do NOT recommend Woolite).  Spin out water in washer spin cycle (or roll up and squeeze in a towel), remove carefully so as not to stretch, and lay flat to dry on a dry beach towel.  Steam ruffles carefully with an iron, but don’t press down on iron or the knitted stitches will flatten.  You can dry clean, but it will look nicer and help preserve the environment and your health if you hand wash!
