Beaded Half Hex Shawl in terra cotta raw silk and wool (not as orange as appears in photo) hand-knit by Carolyn Betts.  Elsbeth Lavold Silky Wool yarn.  Design is a variation of the Spider Web Shawls from Jane Sowerby's Victorian Lace Today.  The beads alternate between hand blown glass Java beads and red agate. 
 
Care: hand wash in Dawn, horse or cheap human shampoo or knitters’ wool wash (hand knitters generally do NOT recommend Woolite).  Spin out water in washer spin cycle (or roll up and squeeze in a towel), remove carefully so as not to stretch, and lay flat to dry on a dry beach towel.  You can dry clean, but it will look nicer and help preserve the environment and your health if you hand wash!
