Each year our Parent Fundraiser identifies a particular area of need around our campus. This year, we hope to raise enough money to add a new shade structure to the Lower Division playground! We've chosen to work with Shade Structures (www.shadestructures.net) , a company dedicated to saving lives, adding color and vibrancy to the local landscape, and keeping things fun. Over the years, their growth, experience, and capabilities as a company have firmly established them as the proven leader in the shade structure industry. Shade Structures was the first company in California to receive the Division of State Architect (DSA) approval. Their products provide the ultimate in shade and weather protection while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the school. They use a high-density polyethylene mesh fabric that shields up to 96% of the sun's harmful UV rays. Their knitted construction allows heat to escape, providing cooler temperatures underneath the structure. In short, a new shade structure on the Lower Division playground will not only protect our children from the sun's harmful effects, it will also provide an attractive enhancement to the look and feel of our school.
