Description

The Country Club in Chestnut Hill was built in 1882 and is the oldest country club in the United States!  Here you will be able to experience Curling.  Curling is a team sport played on a rectangular sheet of carefully prepared ice by two teams of four players each. Teams take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones down the ice towards the target (which is called the house).  The complex nature of stone placement and shot selection has led some to refer to curling as "chess on ice".   You will be coached on how to play the game and then have a match against your friends and family.  After being on the ice for about and hour and a half, you will all enjoy an informal dinner.  Don't feel like playing? You are welcome to watch from a heated viewing area!

Available during the live event on April 24, 2008 - Tickets are still available (See our home page)
