Stars and Stripes commemorate the second graders' studies of Famous Americans and American Presidents. These unique pieces of framed art feature stars designed by each student that bear his or her likeness and float on a field of blue suede. The children took turns, word by word, writing the Pledge of Allegiance ("changed and rearranged") in bold white letters across the red stripes.
