Sue Toppen is an award winning oil painter from Monarch, Montana.  Her work is characterized by juicy impressionistic brush strokes, lively color and whimsical themes.  Sue is a member of the Santa Rita Art League and Tubac Center for the Arts in Arizona and Coup Marks Artist's Consortium in  the Flathead Valley. In Montana she is represented by Gallery 16 in Great Falls and Crowe's Nest Gallery of Polson.

Artist Statement:  The subject is a delightful gentleman with a tremendous personality who invited me to his "Hollandaise" class.  I loved watching the intensity with which he made his culinary creations and tried to capture that in this little painting of Chef Charles of Kristopher's Restaurant in Amado, AZ.  By the way, his finished product that day was delicious!!
