Description
Four of you will take a trip of a lifetime to our nation's capital! You and your guests will stay for three nights in Anne and Bertrand de Montille's beautiful private "pied-à-terre" apartment across from the National Cathedral. The apartment is in a prime location near Georgetown and close to the bus route for easy traveling around town. A highlight of your trip will be a private visit with a member of Congress! U.S. Representative Dennis Moore will treat you and your guests to breakfast inside the Members Dining Room at the Capitol Building as well as a personal tour of this historic building. You will also receive an honorary flag that was flown over the Capitol on Memorial Day 2008 at the request of the Honorable Dennis Moore. Touring the city is a must, but don't worry about booking just ANY tour guide, because this trip comes complete with a custom tour by Anthony S. Pitch. Mr. Pitch is the capital's most acclaimed specialist tour guide and award-winning author of "The Burning of Washington." He has been featured on C-Span TV, The History Channel, Fox News and more. Anthony knows Washington D.C. inside and out and will share his expertise with you on a tour of your choice. After your guided tour is over, remember there are many national monuments and museums you can see and experience on your own for free! This package includes a $40 gift certificate to Teaism, the first teahouse in Washington, with top-quality food to go along with loose-leaf tea selections. Finally, before ending this all-American vacation, settle in at Café Atlantico and enjoy classic mojitos or any one of their classic alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks.
