Celebrate the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby at the Privitera Ranch in Topeka on 5/2/09. Sixteen of you will travel to the ranch on a KC Party Bus, complete with wine, and be greeted at the ranch with Derby-style appetizers, mint juleps, and other libations. Watch the Kentucky Derby on a 60-inch HDTV television. A prize will be awarded for the best hat, and the Priviteras will prepare mouth-watering barbeque for you to enjoy. Each guest will receive a commemorative mint julep glass. Transportation back to Kansas City following dinner is included.

This 750-acre ranch was originally owned by Ned Fleming, founder of the Fleming Food Company. The main residence, built in the early 1970s, is 11,000 square feet and was entirely remodeled in 1994. Ronald Reagan spent the night at the home while Governor of California. The ranch is located on the west side of Topeka, 67 miles from Kansas City. The ranch is home to Arabian and quarter horses and red Simmental cattle.
