Description
Fletcher Martin is best known for his portrayals of Western subjects. In 1938, Martin began a 30-year career as a visiting teacher in art schools in California, including Mills College, Otis Art Institute, and Claremont College. He also traveled to Africa as an artist-correspopndent for Life Magazine. This original shows a football player jumping over the linemen in an all-out brawl to get the touchdown.
