In 1997, Darioush Khaledi, an avid Bordeaux collector, purchased Altamura winery on the Silverado Trail. After five years of construction, the lavish 22,000-square-foot Darioush was born. Noted for its Bordeaux-style estate wines, Darioush implements old world labor-intensive, micro-vineyard management and new world state-of-the-art technology to craft wines from its estates in the Napa Valley, Mt. Veeder and Oak Knoll appellations.
