Huge stone pillars with a flower garden in front frame the entrance to Janssen Place, planned and built by Arthur E. Stillwell before the turn of the century. On 36th Street between Cherry and Kenwood, it was the most attractive residential development in the Kansas City-Westport area. A total of twelve guests will have the opportunity to tour the first floors of four turn-of-the-century Janssen Place homes on the Kansas City and National Historic Registers while enjoying good food and libations. This historic tour and tasting will be held on January 31, 2009 at 7 p.m.
