Williams Selyem Winery began as a simple dream of two friends, Ed Selyem and Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, California, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. Since then, the winery has developed a reputation of almost epic proportions. What Screaming Eagle or Harlan Estate is for Cabernet Sauvignon, Williams Selyem is for Pinot Noir.

Enjoy 2001 Pinot Noirs from three different regions: Mendocino, "supple, with an elegant, polished core" (WS 87), Sonoma Coast, "complex and detailed on a long, elegant finish" (WS 89), and Russian River Valley, "deftly balanced and smooth, textured" (WS 91).
