In the early 1970s, Silver Oak Cellars began with a simple philosophy: to focus on one varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2003 Silver Oak Napa Valley is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It was blended in early 2004 and transferred to 100% new American oak barrels for 25 months of aging, followed by another 20 months of aging in the bottle.
