Description

Have fun by creating garden art works using recycled objects, clay, paper, and more!  Students will be guided by our Open School specialists Suzanne Barry and Marya Alford to create projects for the school garden and projects to take home.  Projects include nature dioramas, recycled wind chimes, mosaic stepping stones, and garden sculptures.  Students  will also spend time on nature drawing (creating a small journal of plants on campus) and will learn about artists who have worked in nature.  This is a very hands-on class so come with your garden gloves and a creative mind!

Special Instructions

Certificate good for the Fall 2008 Session of Open After School classes.  Classes tentatively scheduled to begin 9/22/08, the fourth week of school, and continue for 12 weeks.  Classes usually begin immediately after school; day of the week and exact time to be determined.
