Famoso Restaurant and Lounge, in Chevy Chase, is a white tablecloth restaurant, open for dinner only from 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday. The cuisine, created by renowned Chef Gabriele Paganelli, is inspired by the Toscana Emilia-Romagna region of Italy and influenced by the famous Northern Italian, Pellegrino Artusi, author of “The Science and Art of Eating Well,” which boasts the second highest number of reprintings in Italy, second only to the Bible. Chef Gabriele presents ages old authentic recipes in a modern fashion, using traditional ingredients not often found today.
