Come and explore the National Zoo with a private tour of zoo highlights with members of the zoo's own professional staff. Marvel at the wonderful natural resource in our own backyard!  This tour can accomodate up to 10 people.

A tour might start with the African giraffes, head down the hill to the elephant yards, and stop by the small mammal house to see the prairie dogs.

Back outside and up Gibbon ridge, to check out the white-cheeked gibbons. A quick stop at the Reptile Discovery Center to see the alligators snap. Down the hill, watch a Sumatran tiger pace, or lounge in the sun. Then on a hot day, walk over on the shady path to cool off and watch the seals and sea lions frolic. You might then head up the hill past the Mexican grey wolves to gaze at the sunset-pink flamingoes and the truly bizarre double-wattled cassowary. 

Chill out on the new Asia trail's bamboo bridge, watching the water birds, then finish up with the National Zoo's famous pandas. Hard to imagine a nicer day...
