Risibisi is an Italian, European and California cuisine-inspired restaurant located in downtown Petaluma and gives culinary enthusiasts and wine lovers one more reason to visit the North Bay. Risibisi is co-owned by chef Fabio Flagiello, former executive chef of Il Fornaio (San Francisco) and Chianti Cucina (Los Angeles), and front-of-house manager Marco Palmieri, owner of Tours by Marco and former manager of select San Diego restaurants.

Risibisi, whose name plays off of the colloquial Venetian term for risotto with peas, called risi e bisi, interprets traditional Italian, Mediterranean, Spanish, French and Californian dishes in a modern way, so that each dish articulates new depths to its range of flavor. Says chef Flagiello, “Risibisi is a place where I can use my creativity while looking back at the places where I grew up and lived, including Italy, France, Spain and California. The idea is to offer comfortable food at a reasonable price, yet to give something different—a little out of the ordinary. We want a fun environment.”
