U.S. Flag flown over Soldier's Unit in Baghdad (& 10 Saddam Dinar - Old Iraqi Currency)

Item Number: 232
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Larry Mitchell, a soldier for the United States military, who served in Iraq has personally authenticated these items. The flag flew over his unit in Baghdad during his service, and the $10 Iraqi Currency is no longer valid, due to the image of Saddam Hussein printed on the front.
As of January 2004, the new Iraq dinar does not feature Saddam Hussein. This banknote, for 10 dinar contains the image of Saddam & the Sargon II Khorsabad Winged Statue. This piece of history will never be produced again.
Special Instructions
Larry Mitchell is the father of a recent NICU baby. His son, James was born May 7, 2007 at just 28 weeks. The sonogram that you see on the Bids For Kids homepage is James before his extremely premature entry into the world. Larry knows that his son is alive today because of the life-saving equipment made available locally by the Children's Miracle Network of Eastern Maine.
Larry was also an integral role in the fund-raising for the recently aquired Neo Natal Intensive Care Ambulance. Larry and the associates and generous customers of Wal-Mart & Sam's Club locations throughout Maine raised more than $175,000.00, which CMN used to purchase the special transport vehicle for Maine's most precious cargo.
