Description

Framed Vitreograph "Bentshen Lecht" (Candle Lighting)
8 1/2 x 10 artist's depiction of Lighting the Shabbat Candles.

Jean-Pierre Weill creates unique limited and open edition prints using glass as an art form, on its own or in conjunction with other mediums. Clear glass can suspend objects in 3-dimensional space, virtually letting you hold a captured moment of time in your hands. It is this concept of captured time in 3-dimensional space that artist Jean-Pierre Weill has successfully introduced as an extraordinary and innovative new art process, trademarked under the term "Vitreography”.

Born in Paris, France in 1954, Jean-Pierre was raised in New York. His father was an actor and theatre director, his mother a writer and university professor of literature.
