Born in NJ, but a Rockland County, NY resident for over thirty years, Joyce earned her BFA from Syracuse University and Masters degee in Art Education from the College New Rochelle. Joyce studied watercolor with Carolyn H. Pederson, NWS. Since 1973 she has taught art in the Clarkstown School District.

Her work has been exhibited in juried shows in New York and New Jersey and she is an active and signature member in many art societies. Presently she is a member of The Piermont Fine Arts Gallery, Piermont, NY.
