Bryden’s work can be seen as both realistic and fantastic as he blurs the progress of the modern world and highlights the enduring outlines of nature.

“I think of landscapes as places where people struggled and lived their lives.  If I know a little about those lives, the landscape is no longer just a collection of trees.  It becomes a real place…,” says Bryden who spends time in New York, and frequently travels to Mexico where he continues to paint landscapes and exhibit his work.
