Jeremiah Patterson specializes in watercolor with a focus on realism.  He explains that the sunflowers in this particular painting were inspired by the “sunny days” theme from the classic PBS children’s program Sesame Street.

A 1993 graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Patterson received top honors for his painting in both his junior and senior years.  He was the grand prize winner at the Canton Artist Guild Juried Open Show in Canton, Connecticut, three years in a row.
