During a one-day Workshop held in Cedar City, Utah, your Family will receive a basic understanding of the do's and don'ts of foundation governance, management, investment, and grant-making behaviors. In addition, your family will prepare the governing documents and receive the personalized education regarding 'the how-to usage' of a 501(c)(3) Private Charitable Family Foundation. This type of charitable entity is a proven tool to assist your family in their journey from the present level of financial success to the higher pinnacle of community significance.
During the one-day seminar --
* your family will establish the Legacy for your own honored name and social consciousness through grant-making activities;
* your family will create their own mission statement and begin to identify the initial social causes to support and promote;
* your family will discover the benefits regarding income tax deductions for charitable donations, gift tax, probate tax, & other taxes the foundation allows your family to lawfully enjoy;
At the conclusion of the Seminar - your family will receive the prepared documentation for its Private Family Charitable and legal conveyances, a IRS Form 1023: Application for Recognition of Exemption under IRC 501(c)(3), will then be generated and mailed to you, whereupon the Foundation will submit this form and an additional fee of between $300 to $750 to the Internal Revenue Service for processing. In 4-6 weeks you should receive the Letter of Exemption from the IRS.
The seminar/workshop normally costs $8,500. Minimum reserved bidding begins at $2,500.
There will be additional costs added to this bid for your application fee to the IRS for the Form 1023 of $300.00 -- $750.00; additional costs if a meeting room needs to be rented to hold the workshop; the travel costs to Cedar City, Utah or to the Family's hometown if they desire.
