I was recently introduced to Barefoot Books by a friend of mine.  Barefoot's mission is to: celebrate art and story that opens the hearts and minds of children from all walks of life....taking their inspiration from many different cultures, they focus on themes that encourage independence of spirit, enthusiasm for learning, and sharing of the world's diversity. 

I was instantly hooked!  Plus, my friend had a great story as to why she got involved in Barefoot. 

Her story is: " Over the past two and a half years, I have become intimately acquainted with children’s books, carefully selecting stories to read to and with my son Bryce. Recently, I was introduced to a small children’s book publisher, Barefoot Books. The production quality of these books, CDs, and educational toys is excellent, and the focus on diversity, inclusiveness, and imagination really resonates with me as a parent. I have become so excited about and interested in these titles that I’ve decided to partner with this company and become a Stallholder. This is something I’m doing in my spare time, for many reasons.

First and foremost, for the past year and a half, Bryce has attended the Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral School for the Deaf (JWPOSD), a non-public auditory/oral school. At this school he has flourished. and I really want to try and give something back. I am planning to initially donate 10% of my profits to JWPOSD.
