Basim Magdy, born 1977 in Assiut, Egypt, currently lives and works in Basel, Switzerland. He earned his BA from Helwan University, Cairo, in 2000. Currently his work is on view at Museo de Arte Contemporáneo MARCO, Vigo, Spain and Ausstellungsraum Klingental, Basel, Switzerland. He is represented by Newman Popiashvili Gallery in New York and Townhouse Gallery in Cairo.
