A Louisiana native working out of Atlanta, Julia Hill attended Newcomb College in New Orleans where she received a BFA in sculpture. She carries the long-term influences of growing up in a city bordered by swamp, ocean, refinery, and river.

Her bicycle is red and black and purple, and her current studio leans slightly to the right.
