John Otte was born in Virginia Beach, VA and lives in Atlanta. He studied art history at New York University, and has curated art and music exhibitions for the Arts Festival of Atlanta as well as Space 1181, which he founded and operated from 1997- 2000. His oeuvre comprises a diverse range of works with numerous references to contemporary architecture, design, and music. He is currently exhibiting works from 1982 to 2007 titled John Otte: SEEN/UNSEEN at Whitespace in Atlanta.
