Way is a professional illustrator working with leading advertising agencies and clients such as the Coca-Cola Company, Major League Baseball, CNN, Sports Illustrated, AT&T, the Marine Corps, and others. In 1999, he received both a Clio and a Gold Mobius Award at the International Film Festival.  His work has also won Addy Awards in several districts as well as a Gold Gamma Award.
