Fourth Grade took inspiration from this year's island theme and looked to scenic locations in the tropics. Each well-known piece was divided into 36 squares and photocopied in miniature. Students took the miniature thumbnails and recreated the squares with pencil and colored with pastel. The student squares are re-assembled, mounted and framed (28in x 28in) as Room 208's interpretation of Gauguin's "Still Life with Exotic Fruit."
