Cry-Baby, a new musical based on the 1990 John Waters film of the same title, is in previews at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway. The show will be directed by Mark Brokaw, with choreography by Rob Ashford.

Featuring a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan and a score by David Javerbaum and Adam Schlesinger (alum VPC dad!), this spoof of 1950s films is set in 1954 Baltimore, where Wade "Cry Baby" Walker, the baddest boy in town, falls for a local good girl.
