This beautiful quilt was designed by Amelie's mom, Birgitte Jensen, who worked with the children on each step of the project. The children selected the felt doll that they thought best represented their skin tone. Then they created full-length self portraits, selecting clothing and yarn for their hair, and drawing in the facial details.
