This simple but elegant set of earrings has a modern twist with a classic bead.  Gold-plated beads and ear wires are a perfect frame for the lovely blue lapis lazuli stones.  This delightful pair was donated by local artist Karen Duffy.

Lapis Lazuli is a semi-precious stone prized since antiquity for it's intense blue color.  Some call it the "psychic" stone, and believe it's powers increase awareness and intuition when worn.
