Consuelo Gamboa grew up in Durango and Chihuahua, Mexico. Born into an artistic family, her earliest memories are of painting.  Educated in Mexico, England, and France, she settled in Southern California in 1978.She began publishing her beautiful works in poster and print form in 1987.

Much of her artwork features idealized scenes of country life. Primarily using watercolors, much of Gamboa's work portrays beautiful women, in attractive surroundings, enjoying life. She lives with her family in Southern California.
