The Torrid Zone is a compelling novel about discovering romance in Kenya's Mkono ya Mungu, the internationally-acclaimed Wildlife Reserve.  The mystery of what is not revealed until late in the book keeps you going to the end. Ms. Cottrell's descriptions of the wildlife and landscape of Africa, where she spent some time, are beautifully inviting.  The Torrid Zone refers to the hot climate of Kenya.
