What can be finer than a lightly chilled glass of fine Sauternes, that liquid-gold dessert wine produced in Barsac, France, 20 miles southeast of Bordeaux?
This wine, as are all Sauternes, is made from 100% Semillon grapes, and comes from a highly-regarded vintner with a long history of fine bottlings. Interestingly, it’s a kosher wine (I haven’t seen too many of those from France)! This wine is a perfect pairing for a cheese course.
