Description
Our most pressing need for educator resources in 2008 is funding for Holocaust Survivor Education Kits, which take students on an interactive journey of personal insights, artifacts, testimonial and historic events. Since there is a dwindling number of living Holocaust survivors who can visit schools, it is essential that we capture their testimonies and artifacts as soon as possible. Our first kit is based on Hinda Danziger Kibort who devoted her life to telling her story and speaking out against the injustices of hatred and bigotry. Hinda always said that she did not go through hell to have it happen again and dedicated her life to speaking out against prejudice and intolerance of all kinds. We must ensure that stories like Hinda's are retold for generations. Not only do these kits teach about the horrors of prejudice and the Holocaust, they show how one person can make a difference and contribute to their community and the world at large. Your gift of $1,000 allows us to develop resources for a Holocaust Survivor Family Kit.
