Elizabeth Monacelli, a native Rhode Islander, began violin studies with her father, Vincenzo Monacelli. Ms. Monacelli continued her training at the Longy School of Music, the Juilliard School and New England Conservatory of Music where she received a Diploma in Performance in 1988. 

Ms. Monacelli has won numerous competitions in the United States, which include the Music Teachers National Association Wurlitzer Collegiate Artists Competition (grand prize winner, 1988), National Federation of Music Clubs Young Artists Competition (second place winner, 1989), Young Concert Artists International Competition (semifinalist, 1986), Boston Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition (winner, 1985). She was also a chosen participant in the New York String Orchestra Seminar, where she performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. 

Ms. Monacelli has been soloist with the New England Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Fall River Symphony, Longy Chamber Orchestra, Newton Symphony, and the Colorado Symphony. Her past recitals include performances at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Lincoln Center, WGBH and WQXR radio.

In addition to classical music, Ms. Monacelli has performed and toured with such pop stars as Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, Yanni, Luther Vandross, Moody Blues, Tony Bennett, Marvin Hamlisch, Jack Jones, Rita Moreno, Aretha Franklin, Barry White, Rod Stewart, Shirley Jones, Richard Marx, Roger Daltrey, Liza Minelli, Dudley Moore, Florence Henderson, Michael Feinstein, Nell Carter, Smokey Robinson, Regis Philbin, Johnny Mathis, Manheim Steamrollers, and Wayne Newton

Ms. Monacelli currently resides in Fallbrook, California and performs with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, San Diego Opera, and the Riverside Philharmonic. 

Ms. Monacelli is the owner of Monacelli Music Studio which provides private instruction for violin, viola, voice, piano and chamber music. The studio also provides live music for various occasions.
