Chocolate brown and cream sitting basset with long, droopy ears.  Glossy finish.  Measures 8 1/2" high and 5" wide.  Made in Western Germany, #25 stamped on bottom with a crown over a "C" enclosed in a box.  We think it's from the factory in Cortendorf (today part of the city of Coburg) which is also the home of the Hermann family that produces the famous 'Hermann' teddy bears. Also has #5262 handwritten on bottom.  Slight chip on left front toe.  Very beautiful piece!
