The Zen Of Max is a photographic dedication to our first Tri-State Basset Rescue hound.  Formerly known as Wildman Max, this little fellow came into our life on October 1, 2005, and he was about 9 months old.  He was under weight, rehomed a few times, been in a shelter, and he had a bit of aggression that led us to believe that there may have been some abuse in his past.  He has really come a long way forward in  three years.  We love him as our forever boy, and the best medicine for him was when we rescued Little Nikki from BHRA in 2007.  Max got to be a puppy  again, playing with such joy and energy with this 5 month old girl.  He rarely gets angry anymore, and even when he does, he calms down quickly.   The book is mostly photos, with a little bit of text.  It is intended to be heartwarming, funny and fun.  It is a very limited edition, of less than 20 copies ever printed so far, and it may well be the proto-type for a children's book.
