Clyde’s of Chevy Chase opened first in 1985, just over the District Line in Maryland in Chevy Chase Center. Refurbished for a spring 2005 opening as part of the center’s renaissance as a luxury shopping destination, the restaurant is now a free-standing building with new neighbors that comprise the elegant Chevy Chase Collection. 

The main dining room is a re-creation of the legendary Orient Express, transporting diners back to the days of glamorous transcontinental train travel. Go next door to The Travel Room to relive the excitement of early transatlantic steamship and air travel. For after-work Happy Hour and live music later on, head down the dramatic staircase to the Race Bar where models and mementos celebrate America’s love affair with the automobile.
