Description

An overnight weekend stay for two people at the West Baden Springs Hotel, a National Historic Landmark, and spa services for two (up to $220) at The Spa at West Baden.
Built in 1902, the Baden Springs Hotel was a magnificent site. Featuring a six-story domed atrium, the resort drew celebrities from all around the country. Well-known patrons to the hotel were "Diamond Jim" Brady and Al Capone. Professional baseball teams such as the Chicago White Sox and Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds held spring training on the baseball field located on the 250 acres that made up the property. Suffering some decades of neglect, it has undergone extensive restoration and opened as a hotel in May 2007 for the first time since 1932.  The hotel holds approximately 246 luxury rooms/suites, restaurant, bar and spa.  The hotel’s natatorium, long missing from the landscape, was faithfully reconstructed, based on historic photographs of the structure.
The nearby French Lick Resort Casino, also a Historic Hotel of America member, offers more entertainment for your weekend pleasure.
