Item Number: 259
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Enjoy a private VIP tour of Edsel & Eleanor Ford House and receive an insider’s look at this regional icon. Following your tour, enjoy lunch in the estate’s Tea Room and leave with a gift bag that includes items from the Gallery Shop, including a beautiful coffee table book.
The estate reflects the Fords’ passion for quality design and their collaborative work on the design of their home, the landscape and art acquisitions. The house was designed by renowned architect Albert Kahn to resemble a cluster of Cotswold village cottages, complete with stone roofs, vine-covered walls and lead-paned windows. Strolling through the thoughtfully decorated halls, visitors come face-to-face with a stunningly diverse collection of art, antiques and furniture that reveal the Fords' progressive and educated tastes in art and design.
The Ford House grounds are a work of art in their own right. Designed by famed landscape architect Jens Jensen, the 86 acres of lakefront grounds appear to be almost completely natural but were meticulously planned. The VIP tour will also take you through the other buildings on the estate, including the charming mock-Tudor Play House and the historic Garage where highlighted vehicles stand on display for a glimpse into Edsel’s design work at Ford Motor Company.
