Description

Lovingly hand restored.  This mantel clock was built in the 1920's and is as popular now as it was then.  This particular brass movement has been cleaned, oiled, and adjusted.  The movement is marked 89 L, a very dependable and rugged combination of gears and pinions.  The chimes are sounded on two brass rods of different tones.  The quarter hour has (1) double chime; the half hour has (2) double chimes; the three-quarter hour has (3) double chimes; and the hour is counted.  The minute and hour hands have the (S & T) formed on the hands.  There is a small piece of wood missing on the back door near the knob; however, this does not detract from the clock's beautiful appearance.  When you are transporting this timepiece, latch the pendulum in the slot provided.  The same key winds the clock and adjusts the movement to go faster or slower.  The key is not original.
