Description
This is a gorgeously elegant wine with beautiful, subtle roasted herb notes intermixed with black cherry, cassis, licorice, and a touch of graphite. It displays a wonderful mouth feel of black fruits, white pepper and sweet, ripe tannins. It is extremely well balanced and the flavors linger for 45 seconds or more. The wine is clean, pure, medium to full bodied, with nothing out of place. A wine with dense rubypurple color and a nose that rises majestically from the glass. In the heart of the Napa Valley, just three miles east of St. Helena, Conn Creek flows out of Howell Mountain through Conn Valley. All of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for Eagles Trace are grown in estate vineyards located in this region. The lush fruit from the grapes gives Eagles Trace wines great richness of flavor and sense of place. A wine to cellar then savor in 2016.
