Description

A truly great wine from one of Bordeaux's finest chateaux. A distinctive bouquet of violets, soy, pepper, blackberries, cassis, and tree bark gives this wine a singular style. This dense ruby/purplecolored blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and 14% Petit Verdot exhibits plenty of structure, wonderful sweetness and a rich, textured, persistent character. Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande (commonly referred to as Pichon Lalande or Pichon Comtesse) is a winery in the Pauillac appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. This wine is one of the great wines of Bordeaux, if not in the world. A wine that should be brought out for important events in 2013! Rating: 93 points, Robert Parker
