This antique Chinese urn is made from solid brass with an etched decoration and applied silver and brass decoration.  The peaceful landscape scene is typical of this form made from circa 1865 to 1910.  The shaped foot and flared rim add additional sophistication and elegance to this piece.  The Chinese are masters of metalwork and this example is a wonderful demostration of their abilities. It measures 9 inches high and 4 inches wide.
