Description

One original Civil War Atlas composite plate. Number CXXI, featuring April, 1861 Charleston, South Carolina: Forts Sumter and Moultrie photographs.  The Official Atlas was completed in the mid 1890s and was the culmination of three decades of research.  It was intended to be a companion in maps and pictures to The Official Records of The Civil War.  This immaculate, 19" by 29" piece contains nine photographs in sepia-tone.  It is original, will frame beautifully and is an authentic piece of 19th century lithography!
